Hellenic TV
"Skirites, The Elite Force of King Leonidas"
In June 2022, "KORYVANTES" had the honor of collaborating with Hellenic TV in the production of the historical documentary Skirites, The Elite Force of King Leonidas, with the support of the Greek diaspora. This ambitious production aimed to shed light on the little-known history of the Skirites, the elite reconnaissance and special operations unit of the ancient Spartan army.
Filming took place in various locations in Greece and included demanding battle reenactments, faithfully depicting the combat style and tactics of the Skirites. Our organization provided historical consultation, meticulously crafted historical equipment, and expert reenactors to bring these ancient warriors to life. The documentary featured interviews with esteemed academics, including Dr. Athanasios Drougos, Dr. Manousos Kampouris, and archaeologist Spyros Bakas (MA), exploring the evolution, battlefield role, and historical significance of the Skirites.
Under the brilliant direction of Spiros Fren, the production team ensured an authentic and compelling representation of this elite unit. The film is expected to make a lasting impact in the field of historical documentaries, offering an insightful perspective on the role of special forces in ancient warfare.

ARKAIM
"The Chariot of Time"
In 2022, "KORYVANTES" proudly participated in the Russian historical documentary ARKAIM: The Chariot of Time, a production exploring the enigmatic Bronze Age fortified site of Arkaim and the Sintashta culture, known for pioneering the war chariot.
Filmed in Florina, Northern Greece, our members contributed as historical consultants, offering insights into the potential connections between the Mycenaean and Sintashta civilizations. Additionally, we provided expertise on the Sintashta Bow, a crucial element in the documentary’s extensive experimental archaeology project.
The production brought together an international team of archaeologists and experts, pushing the boundaries of historical interpretation. We extend our gratitude to archaeologist Ivan Semyan and the South Ural State University for their excellent collaboration, as well as bowmaker Ioannis Boukogiannis for the reconstruction of the Sintashta Bow.

Channel 5
"My Greek Odyssey"
In April 2019, "KORYVANTES" collaborated with the UK production My Greek Odyssey, a Channel 5 documentary hosted by renowned historian Bettany Hughes. Filmed in Spata, Athens, this episode brought to life the warfare and military preparations of Mycenaean warriors, offering a unique insight into the Bronze Age Greek world.
Our organization played a crucial role in staging intense battle scenes featuring Mycenaean hoplites, meticulously recreating their combat techniques, formations, and pre-war rituals. We provided historical consulting, battle choreography, and a full range of authentic period weaponry and armor, ensuring an accurate and immersive depiction of Mycenaean warfare.
This collaboration highlighted our expertise in historical reenactment and consulting, contributing to a deeper understanding of ancient Greek military traditions.

Movistar+ & Canal+
"Maratón Man"
In 2019, "KORYVANTES" collaborated with Movistar+ and Canal+ for the Spanish documentary series Maratón Man. Hosted by Raúl Gómez, this production explored the cultural and historical significance of endurance running, with a special focus on the legendary Greek Marathon.
Our organization played a vital role in providing historical equipment and historical consulting, offering a dynamic and interactive presentation on ancient Greek warfare and endurance athletes. Through our contributions, we helped bridge the connection between the modern Marathon and its ancient roots, bringing authenticity and historical depth to the production.

UBISOFT
"Assassin’s Creed Odyssey"
In June 2018, "KORYVANTES" proudly collaborated with Ubisoft to bring history to life for the promotion of the highly anticipated video game Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. As part of the official live-action trailer, we provided extensive support in historical consulting, live reenactments, and authentic historical equipment.
Filmed in the breathtaking landscapes of Kardamyli and Vatheia, in the Mani Peninsula, Southern Greece, the production featured large-scale battle scenes and immersive historical reconstructions. Our team supplied highly trained reenactors to portray ancient warriors, ensuring historical accuracy in combat choreography and daily life depictions. Additionally, we provided a vast array of meticulously crafted historical weaponry, armor, and artifacts to enhance the authenticity of the scenes.
This collaboration with Ubisoft showcased our expertise in historical consulting, live-action productions, and immersive storytelling, bridging the gap between digital entertainment and tangible history.

"Irrésistible Grèce – Echappées Belles"
In 2015, "KORYVANTES" collaborated with the French production Irrésistible Grèce – Echappées Belles, a highly acclaimed documentary aired on France 5. Filmed in Athens, the production showcased the martial prowess of ancient Greek warriors, offering an engaging exploration of Greece’s rich military heritage.
Our team played a pivotal role in organizing battle demonstrations, bringing to life the combat techniques and tactics of antiquity through demanding and immersive filming sessions. "Martial Arts Road"
In 2014, "KORYVANTES" collaborated with South Korean SKY HD and Lithuanian RTL for the international documentary Martial Arts Road. Filmed in Western Attica, Greece, this production explored the evolution of ancient combat techniques, focusing on Pankration, the legendary Greek martial art.
Our organization played a key role in choreographing and staging intense battle scenes, recreating the fighting methods of Archaic and Classical-period warriors. Our members demonstrated authentic close-combat techniques, tactical movements, and Pankration training, ensuring a faithful representation of this formidable martial discipline. Additionally, we provided historical expertise and consultation to bring ancient Greek warrior culture to life on screen.

BBC
"Who Were the Greeks?"
In April 2013, "KORYVANTES" had the honor of collaborating with BBC for the documentary series Who Were the Greeks?. Filmed in the historic landscapes of Parnitha, Athens, Greece, our team played a key role in the authentic recreation of Classical-period Hoplite warfare.
For this production, we provided highly detailed Living History reenactments, showcasing battle formations, combat techniques, and the daily life of Greek warriors. Our contribution extended to historical consulting, assisting in the accurate depiction of ancient warfare, tactics, and weaponry. Additionally, we supplied an extensive collection of historically accurate armor, shields, and weapons to ensure the highest level of authenticity.
We worked closely with Dr. Michael Scott, the presenter of the series, achieving an exceptional result that brought the world of ancient Greek warriors to life.

History Channel
"Warriors: Spartan Vengeance"
In October 2008, "KORYVANTES" proudly collaborated with History Channel for the acclaimed documentary series Warriors: Spartan Vengeance. Filmed in the rugged landscapes of Porto Germeno, Western Attica, and Marathon, Greece, this production set new standards in historical battle reenactments.

Our team played a crucial role in staging demanding multi-day battle sequences, meticulously recreating Spartan warfare with historical accuracy. We provided highly skilled Hoplite reenactors, choreographed battle formations, and consulted on authentic combat techniques. Additionally, our members served as historical advisors, ensuring the precise depiction of ancient Greek military tactics and warrior culture.
